Collection Instructions
Specimen Collection: Without using a speculum, swab the lower vagina followed by the rectum using the same swab or two different swabs.

Rejection Criteria
- Common specimen rejected situations include: incorrect specimen type, insufficient volume, incorrect collection container, missing or incomplete specimen identifiers, incorrect specimen transport, or specimens outside stability limits.
- Vaginal or rectal swabs only are not acceptable due to lack of sensitivity.
