Test Usage

The roles of LH and FSH are interrelated and are routinely
performed concurrently in the differential diagnosis of
hypothalamic, pituitary and gonadal dysfunction. Also, the hormone
levels are used to assess the menstrual cycle for pinpointing
ovulation, the determination of menopause and for monitoring
endocrine therapy.

Offsite Collection Instructions

1. Collect sample following standard collection methods, fasting
(12 hours) sample is recommeded.
2. Within 2 hours of collection the sample must be spun and
aliquoted
3. Transport refrigerated (2 – 8˚C)
