Collection Instructions
Collect CSF by lumbar puncture. Discard the first 2 ml of CSF that flows from the tap. Collect 2-5 ml of clear, colorless CSF
for testing. Bloody CSF cannot be accurately tested. A minimum of 2.0ml is required for testing. Freeze CSF immediately
after collection. Store CSF at -80°C (or at least -20°C) until shipping the specimen on dry ice.
