Test Limitations

Eye and vaginal swabs are NOT acceptable. See Chlamydia/GC culture. Specimens on patients less than 14 years old are NOT acceptable. For suspected sexual abuse, see Chlamydia culture (test code CHLC) submitted on Viral transport media, GC culture screen (test code GCC) submitted on a transport swab.
